mine must run underground most of the time and i havnt had a problem with them, and nothing is protecting them. they are as stock is, just extended. not the cleanest look, but it functions.

I was gonna say the same thing, Use a rubber hose of some kind as a sheath, and just silicone the ends to keep junk out.

Does it really need to be protected ? Besides keeping it from floppin around... I really wouldn't think so...

Just be smart on how you run them, keep the tucked up best you can, and I don't forsee any issues. I have yet to screw up a brake line, vent hose or hydro hose out wheelin.
